Thanks for the mention. Daniel, Readfresh is open. If you have any feedback, email me at readfresh at gmail dot com.

It was nice to find this here, since we use Pingdom for server monitoring at my day job and we've been very happy with it.

Hey Daniel, this (my) service is completely open to the public and easy to start using. I invite you to try it out, ThyNews http://thynews.com .

I started to leave a long comment but decided rather to do a blog post linking to this article. I'll post a link to it soon if trackbacks aren't enabled on Pingdom :)

Pars.ly has a fantastically bad user experience: they'll take your information and put you in a configure screen, then let you keep adding interests and clicking the "I'm Done" button which keeps putting you on the setup screen so you ad more interests, mostly laden with profanity, until you give up because its obviously broken.

Then you check your e-mail and it says "oh yeah we're not actually letting you register."

So you write them back "thanks for wasting my time" and then just because it was so frustrating you drop back in on Pingdom and kvetch.

Just how terrible are the other three services? Are any open to the public?
