The 5 most common HTTP errors according to Google

Sometimes when you try to visit web page, you’re met with an HTTP error message. It’s a message from the web server that something went wrong. In some cases it could be a mistake you made, but often it’s the site’s fault.

Each type of error has an HTTP error code dedicated to it. For example, if you try to access a non-existing page on a website, you will be met by the familiar 404 error.

Apple fumbles with me.com

People trying to access Apple’s Mobile Me by going directly to the me.com domain yesterday were met by a 404 HTTP error response and a white screen with a single text message on it: “Not Found: Resource does not exist.

Accessing me.com/mail worked, but anyone typing in www.me.com or me.com got the error page mentioned above and was not redirected to the login page (which is what is supposed to happen).
