Faster report pages are on the way

We are growing fast. It’s pretty safe to say that we are growing faster than any other uptime monitoring company in the world. That’s the good news. The bad news is that this has a side-effect: The huge increase in users has made our report pages (especially the monthly report pages) slower than they should be.

In order to speed up the report pages we need to optimize and aggregate older data. While we are doing this our users will only be able to view reports for April. This is only for a few days while the work is being done.

As soon as we have optimized the older data it will be available again.

You may say that we should have anticipated this, and we actually did. What we did not anticipate was how fast we would grow. Aside from the optimizations we will be making these coming days, we have another development team working on a completely new version of our backend software. It’s being written from scratch and will allow us to seamlessly scale up in the future.

In the meantime, you have our sincere apologies that for the next few days you won’t be able to see reports older than April.

(Please note that actual monitoring or alerts are not affected. It’s the Pingdom control panel “presentation layer” that needs to be fixed.)
